The Radio School Programme

TEXT Foundation’s Radio School Program is an intervention designed to provide foundational literacy & numeracy education for Out of School Children (OOSC) in North West Nigeria, using radio as an alternative learning platform to facilitate remote learning. The Content for the Radio School curriculum is AENN Scope & Sequence syllabus, which has been developed from Non- Formal Education basic curriculum of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult & Non- Formal Education (NMEC), and covers Primary 1 to Primary 3 within one (1) year in a format accelerated for Non-Formal Learning Centers (NFLCs), with the base consideration that OOSC in the region may not have had any access or exposure to Universal Basic Education.
